Job Description
– Treasure House Director

Purpose – to change
the lives of young moms for Christ by directing
a transitional living home which assists the
ladies with housing, employment, educational
issues, parenting skills, and Christian discipleship.
Organization: Open Door Ministries
(ODM)
Spiritual Oversight: Elders
of Open Door Fellowship (ODF)
Administrative Oversight: Program Director of Open Door Ministries
Title: Director of Treasure
House
Time: 40 hours per week
Church Attendance
• One ODF Sunday service (8:30am, 11:00am,
or 5:30pm)
Meeting Attendance
• Open Door Fellowship quarterly chapel
service
• Open Door Ministries monthly staff meeting
• Treasure House weekly staff meetings
• Program Management Team meetings
• Regular meetings with the Program Director
•Quarterly Director’s meetings with the Still Waters Housing Director and
Executive Director
Starting Date: Approximately May 1, 2010

Responsibilities
Staff Responsibilities
•· Oversee the assistant director,
lead that person in a way which helps them grow
and utilize the gifts God has given them, clear
communication is crucial
• Look out for and protect the spiritual,
emotional, and physical health of the other
staff and volunteers of the house
• Inter-personal problems should be handled
according to Matthew 18. Ministry problems should
be talked through with the staff, and then brought
to the Program Director of ODM or the Program
Management Team if no resolution can be obtained.
Fund Raising/Networking
• Work with the Executive Director of
ODM as needed in the overall fund raising efforts
• Visit supporting churches and individuals
when appropriate
House Duties
• With the other staff and residents,
maintain the yard of the house (mow lawn or
have it mowed, water grass, shovel snow, etc.)
• With the other staff and residents,
keep the house in good condition
• Coordinate Compa pick up and shopping
• Filing
• ODM reports, stats., etc.
House Program
• Share “on duty” time with
other staff to provide 24 hour coverage for
the house. This includes two to three evenings
per week and two weekends per month.
• Assist with signing off residents’
program sheets when on duty
• Help residents become part of our family
• Model responsible standards
regarding work, dating, other relationships,
finances, and personal conduct
• Attend dinner with the house family
when on duty
• Be available to residents for emotional
support
• Oversee other administrative tasks as
needed
• Keep appropriate records on
residents

YOUTH DIRECTOR
Job Description
– Youth Director

Purpose – the purpose of the Youth Director is to oversee and lead an urban youth ministry (including the staff and volunteers) with the goals of reaching out to new youth and the discipleship of the youth already in the ODM program.

Meeting Attendance
• ODF quarterly chapel service
• ODM monthly staff meeting
• Regular meetings with the Program Director
• Regular meetings with other youth staff
• Regular meetings with volunteer team
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and oversee all activities for the High School and Middle School youth groups of Open Door Ministries
• Develop and oversee a volunteer adult team to work with the youth
• Organize and lead the weekly high school events
• Oversee the other youth staff
• Middle School youth director – Jessica Wilson
• High School youth assistant director – Laura Sheppard
• Youth Outreach Coordinator – Matt Smith
• Organize evangelistic outreaches to area youth
• Disciple some youth personally and actively pursue the discipleship of all the youth
• Be involved in the community (especially the local schools, sports teams, and juvenile detention facilities) for the purpose of reaching youth
• Partner with other churches, youth outreaches, and youth outreach organizations as appropriate
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate annual, quarterly, etc. youth activities including but not limited to the following: retreats, summer and winter camps, backpacking trips, fishing trips, camping trips, mission trips
• Manage the youth ministry budget
• Determine and collect appropriate fees for youth events
• Prepare and submit monthly ministry reports
• Coordinate the schedule of the youth van which is shared on a regular basis with the school

Salary
• Raise 75% of own personal support (last 25% is matched by ministry)
